Gas sponsorship

Gas sponsorship is an arrangement in which a paymaster or sponsor covers the network fee of a user's transaction instead of the user paying it themselves.

Normally a wallet must hold the native coin to pay gas, which blocks users who hold only stablecoins or a new token. Gas sponsorship, often built on account abstraction, lets a sponsor or paymaster settle the fee so the user transacts fee-free or pays in another asset. This smooths onboarding and stablecoin payments. Sponsored transactions still resolve to a signed transaction that must be simulated and broadcast, which our non-custodial tx primitives handle once the sponsoring layer has produced them.
