CDD
Customer Due Diligence (CDD) is the standard process of identifying a customer, verifying their identity, and assessing the nature and risk of the intended relationship.
CDD is the default diligence tier under a risk-based approach: verify identity, understand the purpose of the relationship, and set a baseline for ongoing monitoring. Lower-risk cases may receive simplified diligence, higher-risk ones enhanced diligence. CDD does not end at onboarding; it requires keeping the risk picture current. On our platform the ongoing element is served by KYT transaction screening and the address risk-score, which continuously reassess a customer's on-chain activity, while the exposure breakdown flags when routine behaviour shifts toward illicit sources, signalling that a relationship rated low-risk at onboarding may need re-diligence.
