The exact relationship
1 gwei = 10^9 wei (1,000,000,000 wei). To convert gwei to wei you multiply by 1,000,000,000. So 1 gwei is 1000000000 wei and 30 gwei is 30000000000 wei. The result is always a whole number because both units are integer denominations.
