Token allowance

A token allowance is the standing spendable balance a wallet has authorized a specific smart contract to transfer via a prior token approval.

Where an approval is the act of granting permission, the allowance is the live figure that remains — queried on-chain per owner and spender pair. An unlimited or forgotten allowance lets a compromised contract drain tokens, so tracking allowances is a core wallet-security task. Our wallet-analytics surface returns active allowances alongside net-worth and token balances, so an application can flag risky standing permissions and let the user build a revoke transaction, simulate it, and broadcast it themselves.
