Hot wallet

A hot wallet is a wallet whose private keys are kept on an online system so it can sign and send transactions on demand.

A hot wallet is always online, so it can sign payouts, sweeps and settlements automatically without human steps. That availability is exactly why operators keep only working balances in it, moving reserves to cold storage. It is typically the destination of deposit sweeps and the source of mass payouts. Our tx primitives build, simulate and broadcast the transactions a hot wallet signs, while the signing key stays on the operator's side — our surface is non-custodial and never holds it.
